Discover the Journey to Elderhood

Becoming an Elder isn’t about age – it’s about awakening.

It’s the slow, deliberate work of remembering who we are beneath the noise of the world. It asks us to pause long enough to feel the pulse of life again, to root ourselves in love, and to choose responsibility over convenience. The path of the Elder calls us to unlearn what the modern world has taught us, to tend the inner garden of our souls, and to rise in service to life itself.

This work happens on many layers — within us, around us, and between us. It’s not something to achieve, but something to live. The following map outlines what we need to stop doing, start doing, and nurture – in our inner world, our relationship with nature, and our shared human story – as we learn to walk the path of the Elders.

Embrace the Wisdom & Influence of Eldership

Explore the profound transformations and heartfelt guidance that define the journey of becoming an elder.

(This, as with all Elder work, is a work in progress as I sift through what I feel is most needed in the world right now. Do keep returning to see what’s new and do let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see or that I could add to our collective wisdom and expansion.)

What We Need to Stop Doing

Let’s stop rushing, consuming, and outsourcing our wisdom — and make space for what truly matters.

What We Need to Start Doing

Let’s begin listening deeply, tending the Earth, and living as everyday examples of love and courage.

The Inner Work

The journey begins within — healing, softening, and remembering who we truly are beneath the noise.

The Outer (Nature) Work

It’s time to rewild our lives and restore right relationship with the living world around us.

The Collective Work

Together we can grow circles of care, share wisdom across generations, and build a culture rooted in love.
